Sun City Oro Valley is an Active-Adult community by Del Webb. It's located in north Oro Valley, Arizona. Many amenities are very conveniently located throughout the town of Oro Valley. And, there are tons of activities and amenities available within Sun City Oro Valley itself. They say living in Sun City is more than just living, it's a “lifestyle”, and I firmly agree.

Sun City Oro Valley broke ground in 1986 and turned the association over to the homeowners in 1996. It's been meticulously maintained, and the HOA has always run in “the black”. With positive cash flow, large reserves, and only one special assessment levied over the life of the association, Sun City Oro Valley Homeowners Association proves what a quality association can do. The association dues are very competitive compared to other large associations in the immediate area. It's simply a lovely community.

The community consists of 2488 homes spread out over 1000 acres. The location is neatly tucked into the master-planned community of Rancho Vistoso. One is able to enjoy an extremely nice suburban community while being an easy drive from downtown Tucson and The University of Arizona.

Sun City Oro Valley boasts a fantastic 18-hole golf course, a pro shop, a driving range, The Views restaurant and bar, two recreation centers with pools, a very nice gym, an Artisan Center, tennis and pickle ball courts, boccie ball courts, a dog park, and Golder Ranch Fire Station.

The artisan centers are super-cool. One is like a classy, outdoor mall with a separate “shop” and a different artisan center. There's pottery, woodworking, a lapidary, a silver smith's center, and photography and visual arts centers. All are “staffed” by residents who are skilled craftsmen. The “staff” instructs, helps, and inspires all users. The second artisan center houses the second pool area in Sun City and the gymnasium as well as a billiards room and many different areas for crafting, cards, and artistic endeavors. The art throughout Sun City was all done by resident artisans! Much of it is for sale, and the hanging art throughout the many centers is changed regularly. It's very nice. There's truly something for everyone.

Speaking of something for everyone, there are literally around 100 different clubs and committees that residents can get involved in!

I've been in the real estate business for over 20 years. I must tell you, I find Sun City Oro Valley VERY impressive. It's beautiful and boasts incredible views of The Santa Catalina Mountains, safe, and clean, and truly has so much to do on-site one doesn't ever have to leave. As mentioned earlier, if one wants to venture out, Oro Valley has much to offer and downtown Tucson, Arizona isn't a very far drive.
